Originally from Sullivan, IL, I am a graduate of Lake Land Junior College, Mattoon, IL (AA in Accounting) and worked with Beatrice Foods, Corp. before entering Freed-Hardeman University, Henderson, TN (BA in Bible). On June 12, 1981, married Ann Hogan, daughter of Jean Marilyn Hogan and the late Norman Hogan who taught Bible and served as chairman of the History department at F-HU for many years. We have two children: Nathan, an Actuarial Associate with Watson Wyatt, Corp. in Boston, and Kari, a Sophomore at F-HU. In 1988 I earned the MAR degree from Harding Graduate School of Religion, Memphis, TN. As a full-time minister I have served four congregations (Woodbridge, VA [as personal evangelist]; Potts Camp, MS; Anderson, IN [Meadowbrook congregation]; Cape Girardeau, MO). Along with Ed Thomason of New Madrid, in 2005 I began editing BulletinGold. A monthly digest of bulletin resources started by Donna Richmond, BulletinGold is published online and via e-mail. In 1999 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The rapid progression of this debilitating disease led to my resignation from full-time ministry in 2003. I strive to continue teaching as a member of the Jackson Church of Christ and through my writing. Towards that end, I am thankful for each and every visitor that reads and passes along the messages from God's Truth contained in these pages. If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please let me know. I would be happy to hear from you and assist you in any way I can.
